New Link: Racism ReviewI've added a link in the Sites I Read block to Racism Review. It is a great source for sociological analysis and commentary on race issues. The media reviews, in particular, are especially insightful. Part of the reason that we can't make any progress on racism in America is because of our impoverished discussions in the public sphere. Media presentations are stuck in the 'race relations' paradigm in which competing claims on public attention and public resources are portrayed in the "A says, B says" style of contemporary journalism, ignoring what empirical research has to say, as if racism had no material reality but was only a frame of mind. Racism Review is sorely needed.
